This project includes the East Campus- Phase 1 Fine Arts Facility with supporting site improvements. The facility is programmed as a 21,000 sf multi-purpose theater (550 seating capacity) to be used for both fine arts and chapel functions. Support spaces include entry lobby/art gallery, ticket booth, rehearsal classroom, dressing rooms, scene shop, stage storage, and restrooms. The Fine Arts Facility will be located adjacent to the School of Logic (Middle School) and near the Rhetoric Building (High School). The existing middle and high school rehearsal rooms and black box theater will remain in their current locations with the new centralized Fine Arts Facility serving as the performance hall. The project includes exterior improvements including theater entry court, loading dock, and new pedestrian paths included in the East Campus SDP. Budget will be a major factor of this project and should be factored into the equation when considering the construction type and costs.
